Madison Plummer
The “Plum” of Plum Stone
Ever since I was a little kido I’ve been making some form of visual art. Weather that was a film, painting, graphic design, or dance. It’s always been easiest for me to communicate with images, motion, or sound. Hence why I’ve always loved filmmaking. It’s got it all!
My professional video career has not been straightforward but has been very enjoyable every step of the way. After college I moved to Boulder, Colorado and became the Videographer and Editor for the Cindy Brandle Dance Company as well as a Videographer for Mineral Sound. Then in San Francisco and worked as an Editor at Rapt Productions and Lead Visual Effects Animator for Melissa Payne Ballet’s latest film. Now I’m in Boston with Plum Stone Studios and loving every minute of it.
Much of my creative work is Dance Short Films and I’ve been fortunate that many of my films have been accepted into festivals such as CASCADIA Dance & Cinema Festival, Sans Souci Festival of Dance Cinema, Encore: Dance on Film, and more. My films have been screened across the United States and Canada. In 2018, my short film, Impressions, won the Audience Choice Award at the Life in Motion: Colorado Film Festival and my dance photo series, Goldilocks, won 1st place at the Utah Dance Film Festival in 2019.
